The University of West Georgia allows early entrance through the Dual Enrollment program for academic acceleration to talented high school students.

Dual Enrollment students can take classes in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Homeschooled students may also be considered if they meet Dual Enrollment admission requirements. If you do not attend a Georgia high school, contact the Dual Enrollment Office to check if you are eligible.

To be eligible to participate in the dual enrollment program, students must meet the following requirements:

10th Grade:

  • Minimum 3.0 academic GPA
  • Minimum test scores from one of the following tests: 
    • SAT: 480 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, 440 Math, 1200 Total
    • ACT: 17 English or Reading, 17 Math, 26 Composite

Georgia Student Finance Commission requires 10th grade students to meet a minimum of 1200 SAT Total or 26 ACT Composite Score on a national SAT/ACT test to receive state funding for tuition and mandatory fees.

11th and 12th Grade:

  • Minimum 3.0 academic GPA

Test-optional Admission for students beginning in Fall 2024 - Summer 2025: 博彩平台推荐 is waiving test score requirements for 11th and 12th-grade Dual Enrollment applicants with an academic GPA of 3.0 or higher. Apply and submit your official high school transcript to determine if you qualify!

Other expenses, including lab fees, course supplies, meals, transportation and personal expenses, are the responsibility of the student and his or her parent(s) or guardian(s).

Additional credit hours and classes not on the approved course list must be paid out of pocket. Classes taken from the approved course list do not count against HOPE scholarship hours.
